Jacob Brownell was born in California, and moved to Utah at a young age. He grew up fixing cars, painting, camping and doing photography. He graduated high school with a college degree in aviation, as well as a private pilots license. His head is still in the clouds.
After living for two years in the Netherlands, He returned to Utah and studied Industrial Design at Brigham Young University. Out of university, he designed furniture for kids, worked at Tesla designing Solar and Powerwall systems, and finally is designing camping gear and portable power stations for Goal Zero.
Jacob is an Industrial Designer with 5+ years experience in consumer goods, specializing in ergonomic design and manufacturing. He has a proven track record in designing innovative products and collaborating with cross-functional teams for product excellence.
Jacob has a passion for 2D and 3D concepting, CAD modeling, rapid prototyping, and manufacturing processes. He has a strong attention to detail and a passion for design excellence.
